Southern california had been full of wind, blowing intermittent rain through the city and consequently, the smog out so the nights were twinkle twinkle clear and the queen mary looked pristine laying on a still ocean in long beach. Sylvia and I walked across the street to eat some dinner, she had just gotten her nails done looking rather pretty. I could pretend for a minute or two that she was my girlfriend while others in the restaurant probably thought so as well. We look cute together, actually, she more than me. But despite the fact that she was seeing a client shortly after, we were spending time eating our salads while laughing at each others juvenile humor. But more importantly, neither was charging each other for this moment of time and companionship.
2 hours later, as I was driving her home, she took off her heels, slid out of her dress and into some jeans and a lazy top. She says to me, "hey, can we do one more thing before we go home. You can say no if you don't want to...". Sylvia was still smelling nice from the victoria's secret lotion she applied earlier in the evening. Sure I replied. She wanted to go over to the next city to see her boyfriend. We're not down this way that often so I agreed. Besides, she was back on the clock.
