Comic con 2009 - Bootie call
Comic con, what about the shit. Yea, here's a few things I got.
Drunken Master magazine. Its one of the few magazines I continue to support since it contains a reality of los angeles without being pretentious white, urban black or asian bland. Kiyoshi is an artist who worked part time as a bouncer and sold ads for giant robot magazine to support his girlfriend and daughter. His magazine usually contains reviews and interviews of local punk bands, lots of comics, some that rival vice's do's and don'ts and all done by him. He keeps the diy alive.
Tokidoki board. You can buy simone legno's shit all over the damn place but getting a sketch, thats a different story! Limited to 60 fans a day, I made a beeline to his booth in the morning - almost got blocked because "exhibitors weren't allowed" but my cuz hooked us up with a regular badge. Its's ok man, I don't plan to sell.
Olivia Munn: She's blowing up with live broadcasts of attack of the show, playboy's giving out copies of their magazine with munn on the cover (no nudity) and an autograph signing. We ended up yelling and telling each other to "fuck off!". She told the startled crowd "thats how asians talk". Olivia munn is a very cool chick.
